Income Tax Calculator India – Old vs New Regime
Estimate tax under both regimes and see the likely difference using your income, HRA exemption and common deductions.
Compare the two tax regimes before deciding
The new regime uses the ₹4 lakh-to-₹24 lakh slab structure and ₹60,000 Section 87A rebate threshold applicable from AY 2026-27. The calculator uses a ₹75,000 new-regime standard deduction and ₹50,000 old-regime standard deduction for salary-style planning. It does not model special-rate income or complex surcharge/marginal-relief cases.
Important
HRA exemption and most Chapter VI-A deductions are generally relevant to the old regime. Verify the final position against the latest Income Tax Department rules before filing.
